AikaGraph Genealogy

Upload a GEDCOM file, the standard export you can get directly from Ancestry, MyHeritage, or almost any other family-tree software, and see your family rendered as one connected structure across time: every generation, every relationship, every date, in a single explorable view instead of a stack of separate charts.

New to family history research? A GEDCOM file is just the standard, portable format nearly every genealogy tool can export your tree into. Built your tree on FamilySearch instead? Their site doesn't export one directly. A free FamilySearch-certified program like RootsMagic or Ancestral Quest can pull your tree from FamilySearch and create a GEDCOM for you.

Who it's for

Family history researchers who have hit the wall every serious genealogist eventually finds: records that look right individually but don't add up together.

1Two people who look like one

Repeated names and overlapping dates across generations are a common failure mode in genealogy, and exactly the kind of ambiguity a flat tree or table has no good way to surface.

2Relationships that only make sense in time

Marriages, moves, and events read differently when you can see how they line up across a shared timeline instead of scattered across separate branch diagrams.

3Research you can actually explore

Rotate it, follow a line, come back to it later. It's meant to be looked at and turned over, the way you might turn over a physical model, not just scrolled past.

Where this came from

The idea behind AikaGraph started with a real wall in the founder's own family research: two ancestors, close enough in name and dates to be mistaken for each other, had been folded into a single person across most of the public family-tree records, an error that was blocking further progress for everyone researching that line.

"I worked the problem by hand first, sketching the relationships out on paper, then building a simple physical model I could turn and look at from different angles. That's what finally made the error visible."

That moment, needing to see structure a flat diagram couldn't hold, is what the underlying method was built to solve. Read the fuller story on the Vision & Technology page.

Privacy, plainly stated

Genealogical data is family data. The genealogy beta is built so your uploaded file is processed for your own session. It is not sold, shared, or used to build a public database.

Beta testers accept a short confidentiality agreement before first login, covering both sides: protecting your family data, and protecting a still-evolving, patent-pending product ahead of public launch.
