AikaGraph is a data visualization technology for networked, time-based information, built to surface the relationships, timelines, and quiet inconsistencies that get lost in lists and tables. Its first working home is AikaGraph Genealogy, currently in private beta.
Developed by We See You Wellness · Finnish Patent and Registration Office, application no. 20265748
Most tools that handle complex, connected data ask you to read it, a table row at a time, a tree branch at a time. AikaGraph asks you to look at it instead.
Every person and event finds its place along a shared timeline, so patterns that only show up "across" a family, not just "down" it, become visible at a glance.
Repeated names, overlapping dates, and records that were quietly merged into the wrong person are exactly the kind of error flat trees are worst at showing. AikaGraph is built to make that structure visible instead of buried.
Family history is personal. The genealogy embodiment is designed so your source file is never the product. See the privacy notes on the AikaGraph Genealogy page.
AikaGraph didn't start as a platform looking for a use case. It started with two ancestors, generations apart, who had been folded into a single person across public family-tree records, an error that stalled research for everyone working that line, because the tools available had no good way of showing two records that looked almost identical were actually two different people.
That problem is what the underlying method was built to solve: making relationship structure and its inconsistencies visible, instead of leaving them for a researcher to spot by hand.
